MicroLaserPeel™ is a treatment that removes the superficial layer of the skin to provide a smoother and more vibrant appearance. This treatment can be used to correct fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and areas of sun damage or darker pigmentation. This is a procedure that is done in the clinic using a Sciton laser, which uses light energy to remove the top layers of skin and is accompanied with a topical anesthetic. After the treatment it will feel like you have a sunburn for the first day. The healing process generally take 2-5 days, during which time patients will have redness, itching, and a minor peeling of the skin.
This skin treatment can dramatically improve skin texture, pore size, fine lines, colour, elasticity and even out skin tone. A micro laser peel is similar to Microdermabrasion, which removes a superficial layer, but it’s much better! It is, in my opinion, the definition of Being Radiant!
How long does it last? Results last 6-12 months. It’s important to protect you skin from the sun to maintain the results. Some patients will choose to follow a treatment program of 3-4 treatments to provide more complete results depending on their skin issues.
