For a firmer, flatter, more masculine chest.
Gynecomastia is a condition where fat and fibrous tissue is enlarged over the pectoral muscle in a man. This condition is quite common as boys transition through the hormonal changes of puberty. In the vast majority of cases, the breast tissue will disappear, but in 10% of adult men, the condition persists. Other factors that can contribute to the problem are the use of anabolic steroids and recreational drugs. There are certain serious medical conditions such as liver disease and testicular tumors that can also lead to this condition. It is important for a man with newly enlarging breast tissue during adulthood to seek out medical attention from a family doctor to rule out a serious underlying health issue.
This condition is not often talked about among men, but can be a serious source of embarrassment for many, resulting in intimacy issues, avoiding from sporting activities, and significantly impacting their enjoyment of life. This breast surgery involves VASER liposuction to remove all of the fatty elements combined with a small incision beneath the areola to remove the tougher fibrous tissue. The addition of VASER ultrasound to the liposuction process in this surgery is particularly useful to treat this more fibrous type of fat. In certain cases where skin excess is an important part of the problem, a longer scar is required the remove the excess skin and move the nipple to a higher position on the chest wall. Combine with liposuction which is needed in the vast majority of gynecomastia cases.
