General or local anesthesia?
Depending on the extent of surgery required the operation can be done under local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia.

When can I exercise?
Starting at 2-4 weeks depending on the extent of the procedure.

Is it painful?
Mild to moderately painful. Tylenol is usually sufficient after 2 days.

Do you use drains?
I use drains in more extensive cases to prevent fluid collections from building up. All patients are asked to wear a compressive vest for 2-4 weeks.

Water proof bandages are placed at the end of surgery to allow patients to shower right away. If drains are used, a shower is not advised until the drains are removed.
